SI Joint Assessment

SI Joint Pain Assessment in San Antonio

SI joint pain is frequently mistaken for lower back pain. This short assessment helps identify whether the sacroiliac joint may be the source of your discomfort.

About the SI Joint

The sacroiliac (SI) joint connects the base of your spine to your pelvis. When this joint becomes inflamed or dysfunctional, it produces pain that closely mimics low back pain — making it one of the most commonly missed diagnoses in spine care.

Individuals with SI joint pain commonly report:

  • Lower back pain (one side or both)
  • Pelvis or buttock pain
  • Hip or groin pain
  • Sensation of the leg buckling or giving way
  • Unable to sit for long periods, or favoring one side when seated
  • Pain or difficulty when transitioning from sitting to standing

This assessment takes approximately 2 minutes. Your answers will help our team understand your symptoms before your visit.
