Our goal is to provide you with the best possible care with a pleasant and comfortable experience. We want our patients to expect TRUST, COMMUNICATION, & QUALITY.

You can play an active role in your own care by:

  • Using the resources we provide, including this website.
  • Asking us questions during your office visits.
  • Providing us with a complete medical history.
  • Carefully following all care instructions.

During your initial visit, you will be seen by our staff who will ask about your medical history and your symptoms. A focused neurological examination will then be made by one of our physicians. After reviewing your medical history and diagnostic tests, you will be presented with a number of treatment options. We will inform you of the risks and benefits of each option and will assist you in making the final decision concerning which option is best for you.

If you have any questions regarding your diagnosis or treatment, or office policy and procedure, please call our office. Your call will be returned during our normal business hours.

Office Policies


Our office participates with most major insurance providers. Many insurance plans require referrals to see a specialist or obtain radiographic scans needed to help our physicians accurately diagnose your pathology. Please familiarize yourself with your insurance plan as medical reimbursement is ultimately your responsibility. Our office can help you obtain the requirements to see our physicians and obtain reimbursement. Proof of insurance and photo ID are required at the first visit. Co-payments and deductibles are due at the time of your visit. Payment can be made by cash, check or credit card (Visa, Master Card).

Refilling Prescriptions

All prescriptions will be refilled during normal business hours. If you are out of refills and our physicians need to see you before prescribing more medication, our office will schedule an appointment in the first available date.

If you are experiencing a true medical emergency, please call 911 or go directly to the nearest hospital. If you need to speak to a physician after hours, and it DOES NOT pertain to rescheduling a visit or a refill of a prescription, please call our office @ 210.255.8935 and you will be directed to the physician on call.

24 Hour Cancellation/ No-Show Policy

Your appointment time is reserved especially for you. Please call to cancel your appointment at least 24 hours prior to your scheduled appointment if you will be unable to keep your appointment. This allows Neurosurgery & Spine Consultants to offer that time to another patient. If a patient does not cancel an appointment 24 hours in advance or fails to show up for their appointment, there will be a $35.00 fee charged to the patient account.

Patient Forms

Please arrive 15 minutes prior to your scheduled appointment in order to fill out your paperwork. Our physicians need extensive medical history and a current medication list to accurately diagnose and treat your condition. You may choose to print those forms at home and fill them out before you arrive at our office.

Please bring your radiographic images (MRI, CT, plan x-rays films) to your first appointment. Our physicians will personally review each film with you and your family during consultation.
