Kyphoplasty Assessment
Compression Fracture and Kyphoplasty Assessment in San Antonio
Kyphoplasty offers rapid, lasting relief for compression fractures — performed right in our office, with same-day results most patients feel immediately.
What Is Kyphoplasty?
Kyphoplasty is a minimally invasive procedure that treats painful vertebral compression fractures — the type of fracture that commonly occurs in patients with osteoporosis, following minimal trauma such as a cough, sneeze, or minor fall. A balloon is carefully inserted into the fractured vertebra to restore height, and medical-grade bone cement is injected to stabilize it.
The NSC Difference
Performed In Our Office
No hospital visit required. Kyphoplasty at NSC is performed in our fully equipped on-site procedure suite — saving time and reducing complexity for patients.
Anesthesiologist On-Site
Patient comfort is our priority. A board-certified anesthesiologist provides sedation during the procedure so patients remain comfortable and relaxed throughout.
C-Arm Fluoroscopy Guidance
Our procedure suite is equipped with a C-arm — a real-time X-ray imaging system — allowing our surgeon to visualize every step of the procedure with precision.
Rapid, Often Immediate Relief
Many patients experience significant pain relief the same day as their procedure. Unlike medications that take time to work, kyphoplasty addresses the fracture directly.
This assessment takes approximately 3 minutes and helps our team understand whether kyphoplasty may be appropriate for your situation.
